I used one point perspective
I took the picture in Washington DC last summer. I was on a vacation with my family. It is difficult to make small details and the water color is harder to control than acrylic paint. If you make a mistake it is hard to cover it. The hallway drawing helped me practice how to do perspective, it is very hard. The layered landscape warm up helped me how to control the brush and the water

I found the watercolor techniques page most helpful. I think it is going to help me a lot when I am starting on my project. It was also really fun to do.
The thing I like about watercolor is that it is easy to get the color darker or lighter and if it gets too dark u can just add water. It is easy to mix the colors together. I can be difficult to make the small details because if u have too much water on your brush it will kind of just blend into the other colors. |
